After more than three decades in the market, we have decided to make a change. Moravia Propag is changing its name to be more modern, confident, and reflective of our growth both in Czechia and internationally. Starting January 1, 2025, we are becoming MVIA.
Motivation for the Change
Our company was founded in 1992 in Brno and now supplies products to 122 countries across four continents. We chose to rebrand to better communicate the range of our products and services. At the same time, we want to appear fresher in the eyes of both our existing and potential customers.
“The decision for rebranding has been a long time in the making. The primary motivation was the need to adjust our visual identity to our global growth and expansion into new segments. The original name, Moravia Propag, which was closely associated with our beginnings in Brno and the surrounding area, no longer reflected our current activities. We needed to give the brand a more modern image and adjust it for an international environment,” explains CEO Jiří Smejkal.
Something Old, Something New
The new name, MVIA, is derived from the word "Moravia" in the original name, symbolizing continuity and evolution. At the same time, the term "propagace" (promotion) has been removed, as it no longer represents the company’s sole focus.
The name change comes with a reorganization into three sub-brands representing the company’s current areas of operation:
- MVIA HUB – a digital platform for the efficient purchase of promotional items and POSM,
- MVIA SUN – a brand focused on the production and installation of outdoor shading solutions for both the hospitality industry and end customers,
- MVIA TEC – a brand specializing in service, sales, and renovation of professional gastronomy equipment.
These newly established sub-brands will help better target specific markets and segments. As Pavel Herůfek, Head of Marketing, explains:
“To our customers, this change will mainly bring greater clarity and recognition of our services. Previously, clients were often unsure of what exactly we do. The new brands will allow for easier navigation of our services, and we believe they will improve the customer experience.”
The MVIA brand will continue to serve companies purchasing promotional items and POS materials outside of the MVIA HUB platform and will play a key role in the company's HR communications.
From Logo to Internal Communication
MVIA's new logo and visual identity will be gradually implemented across all levels starting January 1, 2025: from the website and social media to product packaging, print materials, and internal communication. While the company will undergo significant changes, we are confident that the most important aspects remain unchanged:
“Our core values and the way we care for our customers remain the same – only our visual identity is changing to better reflect who we are today,” concludes Jiří Smejkal.
